Windsong 'Echo' Proudly owned by Leo Honeyset
Windsong, a beautiful 17year old mare who was brought by Leo as an eleven year old. She stands at a reasonable 15.2hh, but her breed has always been unknown to her owner. Leo brought her from a farmer who had not expected her birth, and been unsure as to what to do with her. Leo brought her from him for a small amount, and began to train her. She was easy to train and loved to please, with an affectionate nature. Leo loved her, and found her a pleasure to ride in all aspects. He was always incredibly proud of her, and when she reached six years, he started to jump her in competitions. Echo was never going to be a world class jumper, but she was a decent mare, and always tried her hardest. They breezed through some of the easier competitions and, during her prime, where doing well in 3-4ft classes.
Yet age creeps up on us all, and Echo grew older and found jumping the larger jumps harder. Her height limit slowly dropped from 4ft to about 3ft, then slowly to 2ft8. Leo dropped her from competitions but didn't want to sell her, so he decided to keep her as a light hack, and mostly keeps her on grass.
